Very Nervous...

Obama was supposed to bring in a new era of economics and foreign policy. So far, I am very nervous. Mind you, he hasn't done anything yet, but the people that he's appointed scream of the tragic destruction that our economy and foreign policy suffered under Clinton, and Bush. It seems disingenuous to campaign for change and then appoint the same old people all over again. I fear for the worst, but I am still hoping for the best. If Obama cannot control his cabinet, if he does not make it clear who is in charge from day one, we're going to find ourselves with more of the same. More Clintonites, Bushistas, and McCain B.S. That's not good enough. Please, Mr. President Elect. We are your base. Not the hawkish right, or the pseudo-progressive Clintonites (who are only so progressive as serves the "big businesses" that support them). Your movement came from a new left, and you have a responsibility to represent that new left. It is time to stand up for change, not talk about it and then hire the same old foxes to guard the hen house.
